Law Clerk Positions

We seek Law Clerks on a rolling basis. Summer applicants should be rising 3Ls. Spring and Fall applicants should be 3Ls or have taken Environmental Law, Water Law, or similar coursework or work experience.

As lawyers for the environmental movement, our practice concentrates on litigation in federal courts and administrative forums, with a strong focus on water. Other practice areas include energy, endangered species, parkland protection, land use, environmental impact review, and access to public records. We therefore require an exceptional commitment to environmental protection, a strong academic record, excellent research and writing skills, and relevant experience in environmental law, advocacy, or science - before or during law school.

A Law Clerk at Super Law Group will participate in a full range of tasks that includes:

  • Conducting factual investigations, legal research, and discovery

  • Preparing pleadings and briefs

  • Meeting with clients and experts (remotely)

  • Engaging in advocacy

Our Law Clerks work closely with SLG’s attorneys and gain significant experience early in their careers. We seek individuals who are well organized and want to take on a high degree of responsibility and independence for their assignments.

This is a full-time unpaid position, but we are well-versed in meeting academic requirements for credit. Further, as our law clerks work exclusively for the benefit of our non-profit clients, an internship at our firm typically qualifies for public interest stipend programs. Stipends may also be available from SLG on a case-by-case basis.

To apply, submit your cover letter, resume, unofficial transcript, and writing sample (minimum 7 pages) to Andie Altchiler at andie@superlawgroup.com, subject line APPLICATION - LAW CLERK [term season & year]. No phone calls, please.
