Intervention in Administrative Enforcement Proceeding

In the Matter of Jurgielewicz Duck Farm, DEC Case No. R1-20081103-224 (On behalf of local citizens group, intervened in enforcement action brought against persistent polluter by state regulator in order to seek more stringent remedies. Resulted in order revoking permit, halting wastewater discharges, requiring clean-up, and assessing $600,000 penalty)

Freedom of Information / Government Transparency / Accountability

Riverkeeper, Inc. v. Office of Management and Budget, 11-cv-5109-VB (SDNY) (Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) lawsuit against federal agency situated within the Executive Office of the President of the United States for failure to provide records requested by Riverkeeper as required by FOIA. Reached settlement mandating production of requested records according to court-ordered schedule)
